SESAME: Supporting entrepreneurship and agricultural know-how in European cities

You are here

The SESAME project, funded by the ERASMUS+ programme, focuses on urban and peri-urban agriculture. Its development in our cities relies on entrepreneurs, who create and lead agricultural projects, and on public authorities, through the implementation of facilitating strategies. The SESAME project therefore aims at designing and testing training courses for these two targets: modules on entrepreneurship for students in agricultural high schools on the one hand, and "micro-learning" courses to raise awareness among spatial planning managers on the other.

Implementation : 28 months - September 2019 to December 2021
Total budget : 236.215€

AVITEM budget: 32.570€

Specific objectives :

1.           Promote the deployment of agricultural projects in urban and peri-urban areas through the development of innovative training programs

2.           Encourage entrepreneurship in urban and peri-urban agriculture by developing specific courses within agricultural vocational training

3.           Raise awareness among public service and spatial planning executives of the levers for action to facilitate the development of urban and peri-urban agriculture at the metropolitan level
